COVID19: If you need us, we are still at your disposal. If you need to ship an order, we will do our best to help you.
A few days ago, we organized a Basic First Aid course delivered by the Red Cross in our offices in Irún. It was just one of the activities that took place as part of HTG Express´ “Family Day” where both employees and their families were able to take part.
A voluntary trainer from the Red Cross, Txema, explained the basic notions of what to do in case of a cardiorespiratory emergency, whether due to choking or heart failure. Mixing both theory and practice, Txema covered PWH (Protect, Warn, Help), taught participants to distinguish between fainting and cardiac arrest as well as how to perform, if necessary, resuscitation techniques.
The group also had time to learn about the different areas where the Red Cross intervenes from helping immigrants to providing assistance in international disasters as well as attendance at large events or local festivities. Txema explained that everyone can contribute “in their way” both financially or through work, and that HTG Express employees that speak several languages would be welcome to act as voluntary interpreters.
