COVID19: If you need us, we are still at your disposal. If you need to ship an order, we will do our best to help you.
The COVID-19 epidemic is affecting everyone, with particular incidence in some countries that have already adopted more restrictive measures. The consequence for any economic activity is clear: there are many sectors that are practically paralyzed and others that we have seen conditioned our activity. But the transport of goods must continue: it is a key sector for guaranteeing the supply of products that are very necessary at the moment.
At HTG Express we have made a significant effort in recent days to adapt to these exceptional circumstances. We have activated a preventive protocol with a double objective: to reduce to the maximum the risk of contagion and to maintain the service for all those clients and collaborators who need it.
Teleworking for most of the staff
We have provided workers in all departments with the appropriate technological means to continue their work activity at home without it being altered. The commitment to digitalization that we began several years ago has allowed the transition to be made in just over 24 hours without affecting the service offered.
The decision was taken before the Government of Spain, where the company has its main offices and where nearly 110 people work, announced restrictive measures on 14 March. In this way, we acted with the responsibility that this situation demands in order to avoid person-to-person contact, preserve as much as possible the health of our colleagues and stop the advance of the coronavirus.
There is a small part of the staff, barely 10%, who for operational reasons have to continue to go to their jobs. Aware of the importance of prevention at this time, many preventive measures have been implemented to reduce contact between people as much as possible and to ensure that departments are as watertight as possible. The usual contact channels, both by phone and by email, work normally.
Transporters are still on the road
The other indispensable part for our industrial transport service to remain active is the transporters. They are the ones who continue to travel thousands of kilometres across Europe, in a complex situation, so that these essential products in the current crisis reach where they are most needed.
It must be stressed that thanks to their professionalism and dedication we are able to respond to the shipments that are requested to us. It is true that in some cases, due to the decisions being taken by the various countries with mobility restrictions, there may be some delay in delivery times, but we appeal for understanding in view of the exceptional nature of this situation.
Our commitment is unquestionable and at HTG Express we will continue to work every day to ensure that it affects our service as little as possible. And if necessary, in view of the new measures decided by the governments, we will try to adapt our activity. The situation deserves to meet the expectations and our company will do it.
